Baby Tawny Owls
April 19th, 2015
Baby tawny owls look like this…
If you find them at the base of a tree, in a hedge, in a field looking like the little fella above, please leave them alone. They spend most of their young lives away from the nest, learning to fly. The parents find them by twitting for them at night, but leave them alone all day. If you think one is in immediate danger you can pop him up on a tree branch NO MORE than 50 yards from where you found him.
If you find an injured one, or one collapsed or soaked through, he will need help – call your local vet or sanctuary.
