A Heap of Hogs
October 20th, 2015
We are now seeing more and more young, small hedgehogs coming in that are not big enough to survive hibernating through out winter. This heap of hogs are just a few of the ones we are currently looking after.
Now would be a good time of year for people to leave bowls of food out for these little guy and give them a helping hand. Check out our hedgehog feeding guide for suggestions on what to feed them knoxwood.org/
We advise people that a good weight for a hog to survive hibernating is 600g or over. If you find a hog and you are unsure about the little guys weight feel free to get in touch with us or pop the little hog through to Knoxwood and if needs be we will take care of them over winter.
